Some of the activities we will offer on TicTech will give you individual feedback. Each activity will tell you exactly what feedback you will get before you start the study. We will use this site and your email (if you share it) to tell you about our study results.

Any information you share will be kept confidential. Once you join the Registry, you will have the option to participate in activities, all online. You will always have the freedom to opt in or out of any research activities. Any results we share from our studies will not contain information that identifies who you are. Only qualified individuals who have completed study specific protocol training and mandatory education about how to maintain privacy and comply with Health Information Privacy laws (called HIPAA) will review your videos and surveys. Your data will be used for research purposes only. Whenever possible we store the information that identifies you separate from your data. More information on who has access to data is explained in our consent form that you will review prior to enrolling in the MnTiC Registry or any study associated with it.

At the University of Minnesota we use secure data storage platforms that are HIPAA compliant.

No, unfortunately given the size of our study and the fact that it is mostly online, we aren't able to compensate participants. Thank you for helping out the tic community in this way.

As is stated in the consent form, you can withdraw your consent to participate from this study at any time. Ideally, we would like you to take the time to complete all of the surveys and submit a 6 minute video. More opportunities to participate will come in the future and you can choose to be contacted about them.

Any information you provide is helpful! Participating in this research is a way to improve our knowledge of tics. The more we learn, the more the tic community benefits.

Yes, this is okay. If you have a wall that is blank, try to record there, but it is not required. The most important thing is that you are the ONLY one in the video.
