TicTech is a community-engaged research project!
Community engaged research means working with groups who live near each other or care about similar things, like tics and compulsivity. These groups want to improve everyone’s well-being. Community members influence research in many ways. For example, they give input on specific studies, help recruit participants, decide about future research, create research questions, and help distribute resources.
MnTiC Lab wants to engage people living with tics and compulsivity and their caregivers to improve everything we do.
MnTiC aspires to meaningful personal and digital engagement of people living with tic disorders and their caregivers in all stages of our research, including the following areas:
Sensitivity to community needs and norms
Creating warm and welcoming space
Research procedure development and refinement
Study participant recruitment and retention
Data collection and analysis
Dissemination of research findings and applications
MnTiC’s advisory board, user testers, and partner organizations all make significant contributions. Our digital communications activities help us reach specific groups, meet target goals, and get input from more people.
Living with tics and caretaking people living with tics is hard work. We want to make engaging with us as easy, warm, and welcoming as possible. We’re glad you found us!
