The MnTiC Lab’s TicTech research hub aims to increase access through online participation (people from any country can join!) and help more people get better treatment faster through improving the way tics are diagnosed (especially in places with fewer resources). To enroll in TicTech studies, participants first join the MnTiC Registry.

A Break Down of TicTech

This diagram shows how joining the MnTiC Registry gives you access to all our studies. TicTech is one piece of the puzzle that includes all of the online tic studies. Online studies expand our reach from Minneapolis, MN to the entire world. When you join the registry, we ask you for demographic information, so that we can invite you to studies that you are eligible to join.

Join the TicTech Community:

First, who can join the MnTiC Registry?
  • People with or without tics that are 18 years or older
  • Parents of children with or without tics aged 4-17 years
  • Adult participants or parents who read English
  • People who have access to an internet connected devices that can record videos , like a computer, phone, or tablet with webcam

Second, what does participating include?

Step 1: learn how you can help advance tic science. Connect with our research team or sign up and find out what TicTech is and how it can be helpful to you. Step 2: consent to be in the registry. You can choose to stop participating at any time. Step 3: find studies to participate in. The information you provide us will help us match you to study opportunities.
